    Studies of astrophysical non-LTE media require the combination of atomic and molecular spectroscopic and collisional data often described differently in various databases. SPECTCOL is a client tool that implements VAMDC (Virtual Atomic and Molecular Data Center, http://www.vamdc.org) standards, retrieve spectroscopic information from CDMS ( http://www.astro.uni-koeln.de/cdms), JPL (http://spec.jpl.nasa.gov), HITRAN (http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/hitran/) databases and collisional data from BASECOL (http://basecol.obspm.fr). The spectroscopic and collisional information is combined and useful outputs (ascii, xsams, RADEX) are provided for the study of the interstellar medium. In addition the tool allows to scale the collisional rate coefficients and to extract bibliographic information on both spectroscopic and collisional rate coefficients, thus facilitating referencing in publications.

    This routine reads fit coefficients of the H2O/H2 colisional system and create the rate coefficients according to the parameters supplied in the file INPUT.dat. Additionally, tables for the energy levels of the H2O and H2 molecules are read. The files required to compute the rate coefficients for the 4 symetries of the H2O/H2 colisional system are present in the current repertory. The README file gives instructions and provide the complete set of references to be used.
    The STIL Tool Set is a set of command-line tools based on STIL, the Starlink Tables Infrastructure Library. It deals with the processing of tabular data; the package has been designed for, but is not restricted to, astronomical tables such as object catalogues. Some of the tools are generic and can work with multiple formats (including FITS, VOTable, CSV, SQL and ASCII), and others are specific to the VOTable format. The commands are designed for efficiency, especially with very large datasets.Among others, it contains a VOTable validity checker and a VOTable encoding translator.
  • VOPlot
    VOPlot is a tool for visualizing astronomical data. VOPlot is developed in JAVA, and acts on data available in the VOTable format. VOPlot is available as a stand alone version, which is to be installed on the user's machine, or as a web-based version fully integrated with the VizieR database.
